Accuracy & Corrections Policy

DensityCalcs treats correction handling as part of the calculator product, not an embarrassing afterthought tucked behind a footer link.

Created by QudoosUpdated Oct 8, 2026Formula-first, source-backed

How to report a problem

Send the page URL, exact inputs and units, the output shown, the expected output and a supporting source if available. Screenshots are useful for interface issues.

Reproduction

We first reproduce the issue using the reported inputs. If it cannot be reproduced, browser, device, caching or plugin conflicts may be investigated separately from formula logic.

Verification

Formula and unit problems are checked against primary or authoritative references. Reference-data issues are checked for conditions, grade and date before a change is made.

Correction and retesting

Affected code or content is updated, then the original failing case and nearby edge cases are retested. Reverse calculations are also checked when the same formula supports multiple solve modes.

Changing standards and datasets

Freight classes, population data, medical guidance and reference property data can change. Pages that depend on changeable information should identify the source and date so outdated values can be recognized.

Transparency

If an assumption materially limits a result, the preferred correction is usually to expose the assumption rather than hide it behind a more precise-looking number.
